- WeatherTech Racing announced Tuesday that they will exclusively race the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the remainder of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. The No. 79 Porsche,
which raced at Daytona and Sebring (in addition to all of 2021) will be parked. Cooper MacNeil will continue to drive the No. 97 Mercedes with a revolving door of Mercedes racers for the remainder of the season.
- Tuesday night saw the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series make their first-ever visit to New Mexico's Vado Speedway Park. After winning the Dash and claiming the pole as a result, Brad Sweet led flag-to-flag to take his first win of 2022. Sheldon Haudenschild was second, then Donny Schatz, James McFadden and David Gravel.
Through 11 races, Sweet has a 32-point lead over Gravel. Carson Macedo is third, followed by Haudenschild and Schatz.
