- Spire Motorsports announced Tuesday night that Chase Elliott will drive the No. 7 Chevrolet in Saturday night's Pinty's Truck Race on Dirt. He will be the third Hendrick Motorsports driver in as
many races to drive the team's Silverado. HendrickCars.com will once again serve as the team's primary sponsor.
- In the second day of European Le Mans Series pre-season testing at Circuit Paul Ricard, Prema Racing's Louis Deletraz was fastest overall in the morning session with a lap at 124.536 mph, the fastest lap of the whole test. This lap was one-ninth of a second faster than IDEC Sport's Patrick Pilet. Team Virage's Gabriel Aubry was third fastest, then
Racing Team Turkey's Jack Aitken. TDS Racing x Valliante's Mathias Beche was fifth fastest.
In the LMP3 class, RLR MSport's Alex Kapadia was quickest with a lap at 117.226 mph, a tenth of a second faster than teammate Valentino Catalano. Eurointernational's Max Koebolt was third, then DKR Engineering's Sebastian Alvarez and Inter Europol Competition's Noam Abramczyk.
The GTE class was topped by the Ferrari of Kessel Racing's Mikkel Jensen with a lap at 113.185 mph, a mere one-thousandth of a second faster than the similar Ferrari of Iron Lynx's Davide Rigon. Spirit of Race's David Perel was third quickest, then Oman Racing with TF Sport's Marco Sorensen. Rinaldi Racing's Oscan Tunjo was
fifth.
- The afternoon session saw COOL Racing's Yifei Ye return to the top of the chart with a lap at 123.933 mph. This lap was seven-hundredths of a second faster than Duqueine Engineering's Reshad de Gerus. Aitken was third, then Inter Europol Competition's Fabio Scherer. United Autosport's Tom Gamble was fifth.
LMP3 was topped by COOL Racing's Malthe Jakobsen with a lap at 117.115 mph, more than four-tenths of a second faster than teammate Antonine Doquin. United Autosports' Finn Gehrsitz was third, then Kapadia and Inter Europol Competition's Mateusz Kaprzyk.
Finally, Jensen was again fastest in GTE with a lap at 112.783 mph. This lap was six-hundredths of a second faster than the Porsche of Proton Competition's Gianmaria Bruni. Rigon was third fastest, then Rinaldi Racing teammates Nicolas Varrone and Fabrizio Crestani.
