- The newly rechristened Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team officially unveiled their new car, the AMR22, earlier today.
- Cadillac released a tease video Wednesday that previews their new LMDh prototype that will debut in next year's Rolex 24 at Daytona. The car, dubbed Project GTP, appears to be a mix of the current Cadillac DPi-V.R., more advanced technology
and traditional Cadillac cues, such as the rear wing supports evoking traditional fins. The car will be physically revealed in the next few months.
- Wednesday was sunny at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida, but the heavy rains earlier this week continue to plague things. Due to the wet grounds, the third straight night of the DIRTcar Nationals was wiped out and will not be made up. FLORacing All Star Circuit of Champions will not compete at the DIRTcar Nationals this year.
- Super DIRTcar Series regular Matt Sheppard was able to get the lead for the first time on lap 12 Wednesday when Michael Maresca made contact with a lapped car. The two drivers battled hard for the next few laps before Sheppard won the battle with less than 10 laps. He then held off Billy Pauch Jr. to win Night No. 1 of the Short Track Super Series Sunshine Swing at All-Tech
Raceway in Lake City, Fla. Pauch was second, then Marc Johnson, Erick Rudolph and Larry Wight. Stewart Friesen crashed out and finished 24th.
- At East Bay Motorsports Park, Brandon Sheppard took the lead from Brandon Overton on lap 13 and held on to win on Night No. 3 of the 46th Annual Lucas Oil Winternationals (Night No. 2 was rained out). Ashton Winger was second, followed by Tyler Erb, Kyle Bronson and Ricky Thornton Jr.
