- FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has called for a special session of the World Motor Sports Council for today to discuss the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It is possible that heavy restrictions or outright bans on Russian teams and/or drivers participating in international championships could be instituted. Formula 1 could be affected, as well as series
such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, Formula E and others. We'll keep an eye on this and we'll have a recap if anything is announced.
- In NASCAR, Camping World Truck Series teams are leaving the Charlotte area today for the long haul to Las Vegas. If anything of note breaks, we'll have it for you at Frontstretch.

- It was revealed Monday that Indycar race winner, 24 Hours of Daytona winner, drag racer and motorcycle racer Danny Ongais died Saturday as a result of congestive heart failure. He was 79. Ongais is the only native Hawaiian racer to ever compete at Indianapolis. was most successful in USAC racing, where he won five races in 1978. His career could have been derailed after a frightening crash in
the 1981 Indianapolis 500 that left him with compound fractures of both legs, but he managed to fully recover and returned to Indianapolis a year later. Ongais raced into his 50s before retiring. We at Frontstretch send our condolences to the Ongais family.
- Yesterday was supposed to be the day that the entry list would be revealed for this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, this has been postponed due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict (see above). They plan to reveal the entry list later this week.
