- The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series raced Monday night at Indiana's Lawrenceburg Speedway. There, Sheldon Haudenschild took the lead on lap 11 and held off Kyle Larson on a Green-White-Checker to take the victory. Larson finished second after starting back in 16th. Logan Schuchart was third, then David Gravel and Spencer Bayston.
Through 23 races, Brad Sweet, who finished seventh, has a 34-point lead over Haudenschild. Gravel is third, then Carson Macedo and Schuchart.
- The Super DIRTcar Series was at West Lebanon, N.Y.'s Lebanon Valley Speedway. Here, Andy Bachetti swept around LJ Lombardo for the lead on a lap 30 restart and looked good for the victory. However, his
car came to a halt on the frontstretch under yellow with 30 laps to go, the victim of broken linkage. That gave the lead back to Lombardo, who held on to win the King of Spring 100 for his first career Super DIRTcar Series win and a check for $13,500.
Marc Johnson was second, then Billy Decker, Matt Williamson and Kyle Armstrong. Lebanon Valley regulars made up three of the top five finishers and five of the top 10.
In the points, Stewart Friesen, who won Sunday night's Heroes Remembered 100 at Weedsport, but dropped out Monday night, has a four-point lead over Williamson. Max McLaughlin, who struggled all night, is third, then Matt Sheppard and Jack Lehner. For more on the race, check out today's edition of Thinkin' Dirty at Frontstretch.
