- The DIRTcar Late Models Summer Nationals continue tonight at Benton Speedway with the 12th round of the exhausting schedule. Action will start at 6:45 p.m. ET on DirtVision (subscription required).

Around the World in Motorsports: June 28

- On Wednesday, news came out that three-time World Championship Nelson Piquet referred to Sir Lewis Hamilton as the N-word in a podcast. This was rounded derided by much of the motorsports community, including Formula 1, Mercedes and more.
Hamilton's response is that the mindset regarding
this type of language needs to change. That it isn't ok.
- Oracle Red Bull Racing announced Tuesday that Juri
Vips has been fired from his position with the team as a test and reserve driver. Since Red Bull was more or less paying for him to drive for Hitech Grand Prix in Formula 2, it means that he was fired from that position as well. As you may remember from last Wednesday's newsletter, the suspension resulted from Vips using the N-word during an internet stream.
