Type-R TCR, announced Wednesday that former Formula 1 and CART racer Tiago Monteiro, who currently races in the FIA World Touring Car Cup, will team up with Mat Pombo to share the No. 37 Honda for LA Honda World Racing in Saturday's IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Mid-Ohio 120. It will be Monteiro's first career IMSA start. The entry is designed to spotlight the achievements of Honda's TCR challenger, which has raced since 2018.
- World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series teams were at Pennsylvania's Lincoln Speedway Wednesday night. The local crowd went home happy as Shark Racing's Jacob Allen, whose team is based six minutes from the track, passed Justin Peck with 12 laps to go and held on to take his first win at his hometown track.
