- Wednesday saw the National Motorsports Appeals Panel uphold the four-race suspensions handed down to Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 11 team after the left front wheel
came off of Denny Hamlin's car during the DuraMAX Drydene 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. A slight alteration of the suspensions means that crew chief Chris Gabehart, jackman Derrell Edwards and tire changer Blake Houston will be present this weekend in Texas for the All-Star Race. They will then be on the sidelines until Road America in July.
- Indianapolis 500 practice No. 3 on Wednesday was completely cancelled due to rain showers that descended upon the 2.5-mile oval during the morning, then didn't let up in time for the track to be dried before 6 p.m. ET.
- In addition, INDYCAR announced a schedule change. Practice No. 8 for the Indianapolis 500 on Monday has been pushed back one hour and will now start at 1 p.m.
ET. This is to allow teams that qualified in the top 12 more time to switch to their race engines.

Frontstretch Line of the Week
"So I feel like the Trucks — like moving from KBM to Front Row — is honestly
like a second chance. Obviously, we ran really bad at KBM, and it’s hard to get a second chance sometimes. So yeah, it was definitely super fortunate — Front Row’s able to start that Truck team, and they’re just gonna build it." - Todd Gilliland, on being able to rebuild his career with Front Row Motorsports.
