What to Watch: Thursday

- Teams are leaving today to make the haul to Watkins Glen for this weekend's action. Load-in is scheduled for Friday evening for NASCAR Cup Series teams and Friday morning for NASCAR Xfinity Series teams.

- The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will be at Thompson Speedway for the Phoenix Communications 150 as part of the Double Down Showdown. Action starts at 8 p.m. ET tonight and will be streamed on FLORacing.com (subscription required).

- The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will be at the Jackson Motorplex tonight for the first night of the 44th Annual AGCO Jackson Nationals. Action is scheduled to start at 7:45 p.m. ET on DirtVision.

- Super DIRTcar Series teams will wrap up the SummerFAST mini-series with a visit to Land of Legends Raceway near Canandaigua, N.Y. The racing will start at 5:45 p.m. on DirtVision. We will have any news that breaks today here at Frontstretch.

Around the World in Motorsports: Aug. 17

- Thunderstorms on Wednesday forced the Super DIRTcar Series to cancel the SummerFAST race scheduled to be held at Fulton Speedway. The race will not be made up.

Sam Hunt Racing announced that John Hunter Nemechek will return to the No. 26 Toyota at Daytona. He will be joined in a second entry by his father, Joe Nemechek, who will attempt his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race since 2020.
