What to Watch: Wednesday

- NASCAR will finish up their two-day test at Martinsville Speedway today, where a higher gear ratio will be tested. Some of the drivers from Tuesday will be back, while others will be in the car as well. The full list of participants: Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Chase Briscoe, Harrison Burton, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott, Noah Gragson, Justin Haley, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harcick, Erik Jones, Brad Keselowski, Corey LaJoie, Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace. Ty Gibbs may also be in the car for 23XI Racing.

- Super DIRTcar Series teams will be in action tonight at Ransomville Speedway for the Summer Nationals. Action starts tonight at 6 p.m. ET on DirtVision (subscription required).

- NASCAR teams are continuing to prepare for this weekend's action in Daytona. If anything of note breaks, we'll have it for you at Frontstretch.

Around the World in Motorsports: Aug. 24

- Jeff Gordon will make his Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by Visit Cayman Islands debut Labor Day weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of the Porsche Sports Car Together Fest. He will drive an Invitational-class Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car that will have the No. 24 on it. Ray Evernham will also be involved in the effort. The races are scheduled for Sept. 3 and 4 and will be streamed live at IMSA.com.

RWR Crew Members Suspended for Lost Ballast at Watkins Glen

During practice Saturday in Watkins Glen, Cody Ware's No. 51 lost ballast on track. The block shot through a chain-link fence, nearly hitting photographers. NASCAR takes a dim view of that and suspended three crewmembers, including crew chief Billy Plourde, for four races Tuesday.
