- The FIA announced that two Formula 1 teams have breached financial regulations since the cost cap rules were enacted at the start of 2021. Red Bull has been found to have committed a "minor financial overspend,"
meaning less than 5% of the total cap and a procedural breach. Aston Martin has also committed a procedural breach. Given the findings, there are likely to be fines handed down to both teams. The FIA did not mention what those penalties might be. Aston Martin has not commented on the issue, but
Red Bull put out a statement denying the FIA's charges. We'll have to wait and see what happens. |
