What to Watch: Thursday
- More appeal goodness. Denny Hamlin is going before the National Motorsports Appeals Panel to argue that the $50,000 fine and 25-point penalty for committing Actions Detrimental to Stock Car Racing on his podcast, Actions Detrimental with Denny Hamlin, should be rescinded. This stems from Hamlin's admission that he put Ross Chastain in the wall on the final restart in Phoenix. We'll have the result of Hamlin's appeal and anything else of
note breaks at Frontstretch.
-ThorSport Racing announced Wednesday that Soda Sense, a company that supplies CO2 for at-home soda makers (think products like Sodastream), will serve as the primary sponsor of Ty Majeski's No. 98 Ford during Saturday's Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway.
"There
was a little bit of discussion for a long time, a lot of different Xfinity teams. This deal kind of came together through [JR Motorsports] and Spire. It just helped all parties and allowed me to race a little bit more, and I had some partners that were interested in doing it, and [Worldwide Express] covering and doing a whole season with me." - Carson Hocevar on how his upcoming six-race deal in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with SPIRE Motorsports came
together.
