- Kaulig Racing mostly lost their appeal from the massive penalties levied for an illegal hood louver at Phoenix. The $100,000 fine and four-race suspension for crew chief Trent Owens remains. However, the point penalties have been reduced from 100 to 75.

As a result of the reduction, Justin Haley moves up from 41st to 37th in points. He had only just gotten out of the hole Sunday in Richmond.

Kaulig Racing is not satisfied with the result. Earlier this morning, the team announced their intentions to appeal this ruling to the Final Appeals Officer.

- ThorSport Racing announced Wednesday that Soda Sense, a company that supplies CO2 for at-home soda makers (think products like Sodastream), will serve as the primary sponsor of Ty Majeski's No. 98 Ford during Saturday's Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway.
