- SRO America announced a change in the results of Sunday's Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS Race No. 2 from NOLA Motorsports Park Wednesday. During the race, there was an incident that resulted in Racers Edge Motorsports' Ashton Harrison spinning into the gravel. The officials said that they would look into the incident after the race.
The investigation is complete and Rennsport One's Eric Filguerias has been judged to be responsible for the incident. As a result, Filguerias was given a drive-through penalty. As this was
multiple days after the race, that has been equated to a 44-second penalty (the amount of time necessary to perform a drive-through penalty at NOLA Motorsports Park). The updated results show that the penalty not only drops Filguerias and Stevan McAleer from second to third in the Pro class, but from third to 12th overall.
- NASCAR announced earlier this morning that midwestern late model legend Larry Phillips has been added to their list of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers.
