This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Kansas for the first of two visits to Kansas Speedway. Coverage of the AdventHealth 400 begins with NASCAR RaceDay at 2 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. The green should fly around 3:10 p.m. ET Radio coverage will be provided by local PRN radio affiliates and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
Very little precipitation is in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday,
although it is raining today. That said, if you're going, prepare for hot weather as temperatures are supposed to be in the 90s this weekend.
Records and facts
Last year's AdventHealth 400 saw Kurt Busch lead nearly half of the race by himself. However, he had to run down Kyle Larson late in the race. He was able to snatch the lead with nine laps to go, then pulled away to take the victory.
Kurt Busch ended up winning by 1.413 seconds over Larson. Kyle Busch was third, then
Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell.
Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Joey Logano all have three wins at Kansas, which is tied for the most all-time along with the now-retired Jeff Gordon. Six separate drivers have two wins
each. Of the three active drivers with three Kansas victories, only Hamlin and Johnson have wins there that came before the track was reconfigured in 2012.
