FLORacing.com. - Today is the start of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where race fans from around the world will gather in rural England to take in some racing and cars from all different eras. The

Around the World in Motorsports: July 12 |
- At Eldora Speedway Wednesday night, preliminaries for the Eldora Million were held. Race No. 1 saw Brad Sweet take advantage of a lap 12 restart to sweep around Donny Schatz and Aaron Reutzel to take the lead. From there, Sweet held on to take the win over Reutzel, Larson, Logan Schuchart and James McFadden. Race No. 2 saw Brian Brown take the lead from pole after original pole sitter Shane Stewart had to pull off. Rico Abreu was able to run down Brown and take the lead on lap 10. From there, Abreu held off a charging Carson Macedo to win the second prelim. Brown was third, then Justin Peck and Buddy Kofoid. Both Abreu and Sweet took home checks for $12,000 for their victories. |
