- With the torrential rains that fell in New England Sunday wiping out
the NASCAR Cup Series race, we've got 301 laps of action coming up today. Coverage of the Crayon 301 will begin at Noon ET on USA Network. There will be no pre-race coverage as the green flag is expected to fall shortly afterwards. According to WMUR of Manchester, N.H., the forecast for Monday is for sunny skies with a high of 91 degrees. If you're venturing back to the track, make sure to stay hydrated because not only will it be hot outside, but humid as well. - After the race, Monday Night Racing's MNR Summer Bash continues with their second Gen4 race at Chicagoland Speedway. Coverage starts at 8 p.m. ET on Frontstretch's YouTube channel and on Podium eSports' Twitch channel. Afterwards, our own Brandon Hauff and Michael Massie will host the post-race show. - The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series was at Eldora Speedway this past weekend for Kings Royal weekend. Saturday night saw Donny Schatz win the pole, then run off and lead
all 40 laps to win the 40th Annual Kings Royal. It is Schatz's sixth Kings Royal victory. Brent Marks finished second, followed by David Gravel and Sheldon Haudenschild. Kyle Larson was fifth. Friday night was the preliminary feature, the Knight Before the Kings Royal. Here, Carson Macedo held off a late charge from Brad Sweet to take the win and $20,000 by 1.26 seconds. Gio Scelzi was third, then Rico Abreu and Gravel. Qualifying was rather brutal on
the top points contenders. Five of the top 10 drivers in points, including Sweet, failed to make the Kings Royal A-main. Gravel maintains a two-point lead over Sweet. Macedo is third, then Logan Schuchart and Haudenschild.
- In France Sunday, Algarve Pro Racing's James Allen, Alex Lynn and
Kyffin Simpson won the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Le Castellet at Circuit Paul Ricard. Their margin of victory was 1.078 seconds over Duqueine Team's Rene Binder, Neel Jani and Nico Pino. Racing Team Turkey's Louis Deletraz, Charlie Eastweeod and Salih Yoluc were third overall and winners of the LMP2 Pro-Am class. Inter Europol Competition's Jonathan Aberdein, Oliver Caldwell and Rui Andrade were fourth, while COOL Racing's Rashad de Gerus, Jose Maria Lopez and Viachslav Lomko were
fifth. Racing Spirit of Leman's Antoine Doquin, Jean-Ludovic Foubert and Jacques Wolff won the LMP3 class by 10.442 seconds over WTM by Rinaldi Racing's Torsten Kratz, Oscan Tunjo and Leonard Weiss. COOL Racing's Adrien Chila, Alejandro Garcia and Marcos Siebert were third, then RLR MSport's
Horst Felbermayr, Gael Julien and Mateusz Kaprzyk. DKR Engineering's Alexander Bukhantsov, Pedro Perino and James Winslow were fifth. Finally, Proton Competition's Julien Andlauer, Gianmarco Levorato and team owner Christian Ried won the GTE-class in their Porsche 911 RSR-19 by 11.410
seconds over Iron Lynx's Matteo Cairoli, Matteo Cressoni and Claudio Schiavoni. The Aston Martin of TF Sport's Jonny Adam, John Hartshorne and Ben Tuck were a lap down in third, then Kessel Racing's Greg Huffaker, Takeshi Kimura and Frederick Schandorff. JMW Motorsport's Ferrari of Martin Berry, Lorcan Hanafin and Jon Lancaster were fifth. |

Seeking the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs: Pre-Race Points Update by Phil Allaway
A quick check of the points before today's Crayon 301. William Byron is leading
the points by 21 over Martin Truex Jr. after winning in Atlanta. Without the 60-point penalty earlier this season, that would be more than a full race. Kyle Busch is third, then Christopher Bell and Ross Chastain. Things are much tighter at the playoff cutoff. With strong finishes at Atlanta, Daniel
Suarez and Michael McDowell are tied for 15th, holding the final spots in the playoffs. They are three points ahead of Bubba Wallace. AJ Allmendinger is 18th, 13 points behind the duo. Point

Seeking the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs: John Hunter Nemechek Expands Lead With 2nd Straight Victory by Phil Allaway
John Hunter Nemechek led a race-high 137 laps Saturday and took his second straight victory. That allowed him to expand his lead to 33 points over Austin Hill, who finished third with only one stage point. Despite getting caught up in a chain reaction crash, Justin Allgaier finished sixth and managed to move up one place to third. He jumped over
Cole Custer, who crashed on the final restart and finished 22nd. Chandler Smith finished second Saturday and managed to hold onto fifth. Josh Berry finished 17th and lost significant ground while staying in sixth. Daniel Hemric finished fourth and moved up one place to seventh. Sammy Smith is also up one place
to eighth after winning stage two and finishing fifth. Sam Mayer dropped two places to ninth after getting caught up in a late crash and finishing 18th. Sheldon Creed crashed with Custer on the last lap and finished 21st to remain in 10th. Riley Herbst was in a wreck just after halfway and struggled to finish 20th. That was enough to hold onto
the final spot in the playoffs on points in 11th. His advantage is back up to 18 points over Parker Kligerman, who was eliminated in a chain-reaction restart crash. Jeb Burton finished seventh and stays in 13th. Brett Moffitt was ninth and stays in 14th, just eight points behind Burton. Brandon Jones is 15th, while Kaz
