- In Drummondville, Quebec Monday night, Francois Bernier had the race of his life
in the Super DIRTcar Series. However, he made a tactical error and hit a rut with three laps to go. He ended up spinning out over the top of the banking in turn 2.
The mishap gave the lead to Erick Rudolph. Rudolph was able to hold on over
the final three laps to win Night No. 1 of the King of the North at Autodrome Drummond. Chris Raabe finished second on the track, but was disqualified after coming up light by nine pounds after the race. As a result, David Hebert was second, then Steve Bernier, Mat Williamson and Jeremy Roy. Francois Bernier ended up recovering to finish 17th.
Matt Sheppard, who finished , holds a 57-point lead over Williamson. Peter Britten
is third, then Chris Hile and Tim Sears Jr.
