- NTT IndyCar Series teams had a full day of practice Wednesday for the Indianapolis 500. At the end of six hours of running, Chip Ganassi Racing's Takuma Sato was fastest with a lap at 229.439 mph. That lap was .0453 seconds faster than teammate Scott Dixon. Santino Ferrucci was third, then Alex Palou and Scott McLaughlin. There were no incidents. A total of 3450 laps (8625 miles) were turned in during the session. Ed Carpenter Racing's Rinus VeeKay, who was 18th quickest, turned in the most laps (151). Abel Motorsports' RC Enerson ran the least (25), but that number does not include his Rookie Orientation session, which was held prior to the main session. |
