- Riley Motorsports announced via SportsCar365.com Wednesday that they will move up to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's LMP2 class in 2024. Felipe Fraga and Gar Robinson will continue as the team's full-time drivers. The move comes as IMSA is dropping the LMP3 class from WeatherTech at the end of this year.

Riley Motorsports is the second team to announce intentions to race in LMP2 full-time in 2024. In Le Mans, United Autosports announced their intention to run two full-time LMP2 cars in IMSA next year to replace their LMP2 program in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

- Darlington Raceway announced Thursday morning that track president Kerry Tharp intends to retire at the end of the year. Tharp has run Darlington Raceway since 2016. Prior to this, Tharp was a visible presence at NASCAR events, heading up communications and running press conferences.
