- United Autosports announced Tuesday that Ben Hanley will drive full-time
for the team in their No. 2 ORECA 07-Gibson in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2024 as a teammate to Ben Keating. As Keating noted in his post-race press conference at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta Saturday night, Alex Quinn, who drove in the Michelin Endurance Cup races with him at PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, will take up the third driver role with the team as well.
Hanley comes to the team after racing full-time for Crowdstrike Racing by APR in 2023 alongside George Kurtz. Together, the duo claimed two victories (Watkins Glen and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta) and finished second in LMP2 points to Keating and Paul-Loup Chatin.
- Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus told SportsCar365.com Tuesday that they will not be returning to the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2024. The reasoning indicated by Jim Glickenhaus to SportsCar365.com
is that the team has a lack of funding and that is no real path forward for the team to truly be competitive with the factory teams.
In three years in the WEC, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus never won a race, but did have four third-place finishes. The most recent of those third-place finishes came in the 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans with Pipo Derani, Romain Dumas and Olivier
