- Thursday saw NASCAR hold Championship 4 Media Day at Phoenix Raceway. The 12 championship-eligible drivers all discussed their chances of winning their championships and what to look out for this weekend. Our colleagues were on-site in Phoenix and we have video of all of them.

Craftsman Truck Series practice Thursday in Phoenix, Rev Racing's Nick Sanchez was fastest overall with a lap at 134.943 mph. He was .079 seconds faster than TRICON Garage's Corey Heim, the fastest of the Championship 4 drivers. Ty Majeski was third, then Jack Wood and Stewart Friesen.
The rest of the Championship 4 drivers actually struggled a little for pace. Ben Rhodes
was 15th, while Grant Enfinger ended up 16th fastest. Carson Hocevar was 21st.
At the end of the session, Rackley WAR's Stefan Parsons cut his right front tire and crashed into the wall, significantly damaging the right side of his Chevrolet. Parsons will have to go to a backup truck.
- Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. was fastest overall in Brazil Free Practice with a lap at 134.350 mph. Sainz's lap was .108 seconds faster than teammate Charles Leclerc. Mercedes' George Russell was third, then Haas' Nico Hulkenberg. Williams' Alexander Albon was fifth.

The FIA announced Friday morning that Formula 1 has signed a contract extension that will see
the World Championship continue to race at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Sao Paolo through 2030. - FIA World Endurance Championship teams are finishing up their season this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit. Practice and qualifying are complete.
Toyota GAZOO Racing's Brendon Hartley won the overall pole for Saturday's BAPCO Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain with a lap at 113.611 mph. He claimed the pole by .489 seconds over teammate Kamui Kobayashi. Cadillac's Alex Lynn was third, then Porsche Penske Motorsport's Kevin Estre. Ferrari AF Corse's Antonio Fuoco was fifth.
In
LMP2, United Autosports' Tom Blomqvist won the class pole with a lap at 107.817 mph. His lap was .271 seconds faster than Signatech Alpine's Charles Milesi. Team WRT's Robin Frijns was third, then Vector Sport's Gabriel Aubry and United Autosports' Filipe Albuquerque.
Sarah Bovy won the GTE-Am pole in her Iron Dames Porsche with a lap at 102.002 mph. Her lap was .290
seconds faster than D'Station Racing's Liam Talbot. ORT by TF's Ahmad Al-Harthy was third, followed by Kessel Racing's Takeshi Kimura and Corvette Racing's Ben Keating.
Free Practice No. 1 had a 45-minute delay due to high winds that blew banners around. Dust also blew over the circuit, but that was washed away by rain showers. On a damp track, Kobayashi's was fastest with
a lap at 110.206 mph, 0.104 seconds faster than teammate Sebastien Buemi. Albuquerque was fastest in LMP2 at 106.107 mph, while D'Station Racing's Aston Martin for Tomonobu Fujii was quickest in GTE-Am at 101.299 mph.
Free Practice No. 2 sawa Kobayashi go fastest once again in the dry with a lap at 113.305 mph. The lap was .461 seconds faster than Hartley.
Albuquerque was fastest again in LMP2 at 107.282 mph, .325 seconds faster than Prema Racing's Mirko Bortolotti. GTE-Am was topped by the Ferrari of Kessel Racing's Daniel Serra with a lap at 102.387 mph, .087 seconds faster than GR Racing's Riccardo Pera.
Free Practice No. 3 was topped by Lynn with a lap at 110.552 mph. It is the first session that Cadillac has led
all season. Lynn was .498 seconds faster than Fuoco. Blomqvist was fastest in LMP2 with a lap at 106.517 mph, .028 seconds faster than Prema Racing's Bent Viscaal. Project 1 - AO's Matteo Cairoli was fastest in GTE-Am with a lap at 102.414 mph, 1.363 seconds faster than AF Corse's Lilou Wadoux.
- In the first night of racing at the World of Outlaws World Finals for the
World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, the low line was the way to go. David Gravel was able to make use of the low line to sweep past Rico Abreu on lap 14. From there, he was able to hold on to take the win.
Gravel won by .740 seconds over Abreu. Carson Macedo was third, then Brad Sweet and Tyler Courtney. The win cuts Sweet's lead over Gravel to 42
points.
- In World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series action, Mike Marlar made his debut with Skyline Motorsports. He then stomped the field, leading all 35 laps to take the victory. He won by .715 seconds over Chris Madden. Brandon Overton was third, then Hudson O'Neal and Dale McDowell. Bobby Pierce finished 13th, but still has a 134-point lead over
Madden.
- In the Super DIRTcar Series feature, Matt Sheppard ran down and took the lead from Mat Williamson on lap 11. From there, he held on to take the win by 2.447 seconds over Demetrios Drellos. Williamson was third, then Max McLaughlin and Anthony Perrego.
The victory boosts Sheppard's points lead over Williamson to 83 points. Jimmy Phelps is third, then Tim Sears Jr. and Mike Mahaney.
