What to Watch: Jan. 29-Feb. 4 |
- The NASCAR Cup Series season begins this weekend with the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. Cup teams will be there for a two-day show. If you're in the area, Saturday's activity is free and open to the public, Practice and qualifying is
scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET Saturday and will air live on FOX Sports 1. Following a pre-race show, the heats are scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. ET. Sunday's coverage will have the first NASCAR Mexico Series race in Los Angeles, the King Taco La Batalla en el Coliseo. Coverage of the special event will air live on FS1 starting at 4:30 p.m. ET. For
those of you who don't know anything about that series, don't worry, we've got you covered. We'll have a primer for you later this week at Frontstretch. Coverage of the Clash starts with NASCAR RaceDay on FOX at 6 p.m. ET Sunday. That is followed by the 75-lap Last Chance Race. The 150-lap main event, complete with a concert from Machine Gun Kelly, will start at 8 p.m. ET. The race

Around the World in Motorsports: Jan. 22-28 |
- Clement Novalak was forced to sit out this past weekend's Rolex 24 at Daytona after suffering an undisclosed injury during the final practice session Saturday. Pietro Fittipaldi was tapped with no track time to come in and replace Novalak in the Inter Europol Competition with PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA 07-Gibson. The injury was described as not being serious, but enough that Novalak couldn't race.
