- The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series competed in the Rick Ferkel Classic Monday night at Ohio's Fremont Speedway. Here, Carson Macedo started third and swept into the lead on the first lap. From there, Carson Macedo survived a series of late restarts to take the victory and a check for $12,000. The win comes after 13 straight top-five finishes.
Carson Macedo won by .681 seconds over David Gravel. Cole Macedo was third, then Bill Balog and Buddy Kofoid.
In the points, Gravel's points lead is down to 32 over Carson Macedo. Donny Schatz is third, then Giovanni Scelzi and Kofoid.
- Super DIRTcar Series teams were supposed to be at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, N.Y. Monday night for the Thunder on the Mountain. However, heavy rains Saturday night and additional precipitation on Sunday led officials to postpone the race to July 17.
