- Teams are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for this weekend's action in Martinsville before making the short jaunt to Virginia. - Formula 1 teams are at Suzuka Circuit for this weekend's Grand Prix of Japan. Due to the time difference between Japan and the United
States, on-track action will get underway tonight. Free Practice No. 1 will start at 10:25 p.m. ET on ESPNU. It is also the first Sprint weekend of the season, so qualifying will be held at 1:55 a.m. ET deep in DVR Theater on ESPN2. - Sonoma Raceway is having some teething issues with their new surface. Today was supposed to be the second open test day on the road course.
However, part of the new asphalt came up during on-track Wednesday. As a result, SportsCar365.com is reporting that Thursday's testing has been cancelled. We will have any news that breaks for you at Frontstretch. |

| Joey Gase Fined for Richmond Safety
Violation NASCAR released their weekly penalty report Wednesday. In it, Joey Gase was assessed a $5,000 fine for approaching Dawson Cram's car during Saturday's ToyotaCare 250 and throwing his TV panel at him, which NASCAR considers to be a safety
violation. |
