Records and
facts
Last year's Wurth 400 was dominated early on by William Byron, who led a race-high 193 laps. However, the race came down to Joe Gibbs Racing.
The final stage had a 129-lap run under green. Martin Truex Jr. took the lead during a round of stops under
green and looked good to win until Joey Logano crashed with 13 laps to go to bring out the last caution. Everyone pitted for tires and fuel here. Martin Truex Jr. was able to win the race out of the pits to keep the lead.
From here, Truex was able to hold on over the final few laps to take the victory. His margin of victory was .505 seconds over Ross Chastain.
Ryan Blaney was third, then Byron and Hamlin.
Among active drivers, Jimmie Johnson has the most Dover victories with 11. Truex has four, including his first career victory back in 2007. Kyle Busch has three Dover victories, which lead the pack. Elliott has two wins, while two others have a victory.
All-time, Johnson is the winningest driver at Dover with his 11 victories. Richard Petty and Bobby Allison each have seven wins at Dover, tied for the most on the asphalt version of Dover (the track was converted to a concrete surface for 1995). David Pearson and Jeff Gordon each have five wins at Dover.
