- Wednesday night saw the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race at Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois. What those in attendance saw was a duel for the lead between David Gravel and Kyle Larson for the second half of the feature. The two drivers traded slides and big moves throughout the feature, but Gravel successfully pulled a slide job on Larson in the closing laps to win the Hy-Vee Perks 40.

Larson ended up second, followed by Buddy Kofoid. Carson Macedo was fourth, while Corey Day was fifth.

In the points, Gravel's victory allowed him to expand his points lead to 56 over Donny Schatz, who finished 11th. Giovanni Scelzi is third, then Macedo and Logan Schuchart.
