- Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series spent Monday night at Douglas County Dirtrack for the Showdown on the River presented by Seven Feathers Casino Resort. A three-tenths of a mile oval leads to tight racing.
Justin Sanders started on pole, but he came under early pressure from James McFadden.
McFadden hounded Sanders until he took the lead away on lap 9.
From that point, McFadden held onto the lead with Sanders nipping at his heels. Lapped traffic gave Sanders a chance to get back past, but he was unable to prevent McFadden from taking his third win of the year.
Sanders was second, then Tanner Holmes and Justin Peck. Corey Day was fifth.
In the points, Brad Sweet continues to lead by 126 points over Tyler Courtney. Rico Abreu is third, then Brent Marks and Corey Day.
