- IMSA announced Wednesday that van der Steur Racing has been granted a full-season entry to the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team has acquired an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo and will move up from IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
The regular drivers for the team are familiar drivers to those who follow Pilot Challenge. Rory van der Steur, son of
former American Le Mans Series racer Gunnar van der Steur, will share the car with Valentin Hasse-Clot. Hasse-Clot is a factory racer for Aston Martin who has shared the car with Rory on multiple occasions this year.
- The Heart of Racing announced a significant driver lineup change for this weekend Wednesday. The No. 27, which has run
all year in the GTD class, has been moved up to GTD Pro for this weekend. Roman DeAngelis will share the newly-renumbered No. 027 with Mario Farnbacher.
The original plan for the weekend was that DeAngelis would have shared the No. 27 with Ian James and Zacharie Robichon. Neither driver will drive this weekend.
