- At Beaver Dam Raceway Wednesday night, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Jim "JB" Boyd Memorial saw a three-man duel between Giovanni Scelzi, Emerson Axsom and Buddy Kofoid. 

Kofoid took the lead from pole, but Axsom took it away on lap 3. Scelzi spent the early laps fighting with Kofoid for second. He took the position on lap 14 and quickly pressured Axsom for the lead.

A lap later, Scelzi was able to take the lead from Axsom. From there, Scelzi was able to hold off a late charge from Kofoid to earn the victory. Axsom ended up third, then Carson Macedo and Logan Schuchart.

David Gravel finished sixth and expanded his points lead to 62 over Donny Schatz. Macedo is third, then Scelzi and Kofoid. 

"There’s not an apples to apples or watermelons to watermelons, but just like I just said, just driving the car, sliding around, it never hurts. I get to sleep on it tonight and Friday night before I get in the [NASCAR] Xfinity [Series] car on Saturday. Obviously that will be a lot more applicable because it’s on the same track, and then I ultimately get in the Cup car on Sunday and go see if we can back up our win from last year." - Ross Chastain, on racing a late model at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and whether anything translates.
