- Tuesday night saw the Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series teams compete in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway. Tyler Courtney started from the pole and led early. Corey Day gave chase, but he later gave way to James McFadden.
After Sye Lynch flipped and brought out the
red flag with 14 laps to go, McFadden made his move for the lead. Contact was made and Courtney spun out of the lead.
McFadden ended up going to the work area during the caution and ended up retiring from the race, while Courtney went to the rear. Rico Abreu assumed the lead as a result of the incident.
From there, Abreu was able to hold off Day for the win. Brad Sweet was third, then Anthony Macri and Cory Eliason. Courtney got back to 10th in the final laps.
In the points, Brad Sweet continues to lead by 96 points over Tyler Courtney. Brent Marks is third, then Abreu and Day.
- The Super DIRTcar Series wrapped up two nights of racing at Autodrome Drummond with the King of the North finale. Here, Tim Sears Jr. started from pole and looked fairly dominant.
However, Matt Sheppard ran Sears down and took the lead with five laps to go. From there, Sheppard
held on to take the win.
Sears had to settle for second, while Alex Payne was third. Jimmy Phelps was fourth and David Hebert fifth.
In the points, Sheppard's victory allowed him to expand his lead back up to 27 over Mat Williamson. Phelps is third, while Sears is up
to fourth. Anthony Perrego is fifth.
