- United Autosports announced Tuesday that Juan Manuel Correa will drive the No. 2 ORECA 07-Gibson in the four remaining Michelin Endurance Cup races in 2025, replacing Garnet Patterson.
Correa has primarily raced in open wheel series. In 2019, he made to Formula 2 with Sauber Junior Team by Charouz and had two podium finishes. However, his season ended at Spa when he was
heavily involved in the crash at Radillion that ultimately killed Anthoine Hubert.
The impact left Correa with broken legs, a mild spinal injury and respiratory issues. He was ultimately out of racing until 2021.
Correa returned to racing in Formula 3, then returned to Formula 2 in 2022. He first began to transition to sports cars
in 2022 when he raced for PREMA Racing in the European Le Mans Series. He has one career victory there, which was his second start with the team at Portimao.
