What to Watch: Wednesday

- NASCAR teams are currently en route to Las Vegas for this weekend's action. Meanwhile, IMSA teams are starting the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring weekend today. Michelin Pilot Challenge teams will practice this afternoon, while Mustang Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America and Porsche Carrera Cup North America have two practices each.

- It's Wednesday, so NASCAR's penalty report should be released today. If anything of note is on it, we'll have that and anything else that breaks for you at Frontstretch.

Joe Gibbs Racing announced Wednesday that the team will have a new partnership with convenience store chain ampm. The chain will sponsor Denny Hamlin in two Cup races, along with additional branding.

Around the World in Motorsports: March 11

- Vasser Sullivan announced Tuesday that Ben Barnicoat has been ruled out of this weekend's Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring due to an injury suffered in a mountain biking accident. He will be replaced by Jose Maria Lopez in the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3.

Lopez has two career starts in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, both coming in 2022 for Action Express Racing in a Cadillac DPi-V.R. His best finish was fifth in the Rolex 24 at Daytona that year. Sebring will be his IMSA GTD Pro debut.

Lopez has 15 career wins in the FIA World Endurance Championship from his time driving for Toyota GAZOO Racing in their LMP1 and Hypercar prototypes. After 2023, he transitioned to GT racing, driving full-time in the WEC for Akkodis ASP Team in their Lexus RC F GT3. In eight starts with the team, he is yet to score points with a best finish of 11th at both Interlagos and Circuit of the Americas last year.
