- The World of Outlaws made multiple schedule announcements Wednesday in response to recent weather issues. First off, the Wichita Sprint Car Showdown at 81 Speedway that was postponed due to high winds after the heat races Saturday night will be replaced with a new complete program on Oct. 24.
The Jason Johnson Classic that was scheduled to be Friday and Saturday
night at Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Okla., has been postponed due to a weather forecast that features heavy rains through Saturday that would result in heavily saturated grounds.
As a result, that race will be shortened from two nights to one and will be held Oct. 25. It will be the final race of the year before the World Finals in Charlotte.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series isn't immune to these problems. This weekend's Fireball 50 at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Oh. has been postponed as well due to thunderstorms and flooding rains. No new date has been given as of yet.
