- This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series season begins with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C. Coverage will start with practice and qualifying at 6 p.m. ET Saturday on FOX Sports 1. Heat races will follow at 8:30 p.m. ET. Sunday's coverage will start
with the 75-lap Last Chance Race. That will air at 6 p.m. ET on FOX. Coverage of the Cook Out Clash will begin with NASCAR RaceDay at 7:30 p.m. ET with race coverage starting at 8 p.m. ET. - NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will be at Rockingham Speedway Tuesday for an organization test ahead of the track's race weekend in April. The

Around the World in Motorsports: Jan. 20-26 |
- Amazon Prime Video announced Monday that Danielle Trotta will host pre-and post-race coverage during their five-race NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Corey LaJoie (see below) will work alongside her. - Kaulig Racing announced Friday that American Snuff Company, LLC will serve as a primary sponsor on Ty Dillon's No. 10 Chevrolet for nine races in 2025. This will be done through ASC's Grizzly Nicotine
Pouches brand. - Friday's second Whelen MX-5 Cup race of the year started off in a brutal fashion. Gresham Wagner and Alex Bachoura collided just after the start and crashed into the SAFER Barrier. From there, the Big One was one as half the 35-car field piled up.
All the drivers involved were able to walk away, but the majority of the race was spent under yellow as all the disabled cars (12) had to be cleared and the track cleaned. Once the track was cleared, Jared Thomas
was able to take the win.
