- The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series is at Huset's Speedway this weekend. Last night was the first of four nights of racing, Night No. 1 of the Huset's Hustle. With no High Limit races, a healthy count of teams showed up.

That healthy count includes Kyle Larson. Larson started fourth and moved up the order early on. A lap 16 restart saw Larson put the moves on Spencer Bayston for the lead.

Bayston was able to keep up the pressure on Larson in lapped traffic, but the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion was able to just barely hold on for the win. He ended up .085 seconds ahead of Bayston. Buddy Kofoid was third, then David Gravel and Garet Williamson.

Gravel still has a 176-point lead over Kofoid in the standings through 33 races. Carson Macedo is third, then Logan Schuchart and Sheldon Haudenschild. Schuchart actually failed to qualify for the A-Main.

- The Super DIRTcar Series Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. race scheduled for tonight at Lebanon Valley Speedway has been cancelled due to a forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms. The race was only on the schedule as a make-up after last year's Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. Labor Day weekend was rained out after Hot Laps.

The race will not be rescheduled due to a lack of room on the schedule. Anyone who bought tickets for tonight's race, or still has their tickets and/or wristbands from Aug. 31 last year, can use it towards the regularly scheduled Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. race, which is scheduled for Aug. 28. 

"Let’s look a bit closer at this accident. Foster ran the high line and then ran into the marbles in turn 4. From the time he hit the wall until the time race control called for the yellow flag, 6 seconds had elapsed.

"Will Power had a similar incident early in the race and the yellow came out just over 2 seconds after his initial impact with the turn 4 wall.

"How was there such a delay in calling the caution with Foster’s impact? If the yellow was out with the same time frame as the earlier incident with Power, then there’s a real possibility that Foster would have been the only car involved." - Christopher DeHarde on a race control failure Sunday night that resulted in Josef Newgarden taking a nasty ride that could have been prevented.
