NASCAR Unveils 2025 All-Star Race Format

NASCAR announced the new format for next month's All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The main changes are the race being extended from 200 to 250 laps and a "promoter's caution flag" that can come into play.

ARCA Talladega Entry List

There are 38 teams entered for Saturday's ARCA General Tire 200 at Talladega. A series of part-time teams and drivers will be back, such as Garrett Mitchell ("Cleetus McFarland"), Amber Balcaen, William Sawalich and Spencer Gallagher.

CARS Orange County Entry List

The zMAX CARS Tour will be at Orange County Speedway for the Folsom Fence 250 this weekend. There will be 32 Late Model Stocks and 12 Pro Late Models on site.

Around the World in Motorsports: April 22

- Dr. Jerry Petty, a renowned neurosurgeon known for his work in the world of motorsports and professional football via the Carolina Panthers, died Tuesday at the age of 89.

Petty is a co-founder of Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine, a Charlotte-based firm. In NASCAR circles, Petty was involved in the sport as far back as the 1970s, serving as a medical consultant to the sport. He was involved in the treatment of multiple athletes after injuries, such as Dale Earnhardt Jr. after his concussions and Ernie Irvan after his near-fatal crash at Michigan in 1994.
