| Scott Dixon Fastest on 1st Day of Indy 500 Open
Test
In open testing Wednesday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon was fastest with a lap at 225.182 mph. Drivers also completed Rookie Orientation and refresher sessions.

- In Indianapolis testing, Kyle Larson ran into some problems this morning. Exiting turn 1, Larson
went wide and hit the SAFER Barrier, then slid along the track and went back into the wall in turn 2. He was ok and walked away from the crash.

taken to a Birmingham hospital. I knew he was pretty beat up. I learned something else. I didn’t know who divulged what was, reportedly, Arrington’s most serious injury. Buddy Arrington in a practice crash in Talladega in 1975. While Arrington was in a lot of pain after the crash, the rumor was not true.
