- The Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series spent Monday night at the quarter-mile Kokomo Speedway for the Driven2SaveLives Monday MAYhem. For much of the night, it looked like it was going to be Justin Peck emerging triumphant as he led from pole and looked like he wasn't going to be caught.
However, Rico Abreu ran
him down in the closing laps, then made a move on Peck in turn 4 on the final lap. Abreu was able to outdrag Peck to the line for the win, beating him by .101 seconds to take home a $20,000 winner's check. Brad Sweet was third, then Tyler Courtney and Brady Bacon.
In the points, Sweet continues to lead by 52 points over Courtney. Brent Marks is third, then Abreu and
Peck.
