- Stallion Motorsports announced Monday that they will enter IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge full-time in 2026. The team has entered into a partnership with Gou Racing to field a Cupra Leon VZ TCR in Pilot Challenge's TCR class.
The team is Brazil-based and comes to Pilot Challenge with experience racing the Cupra in TCR South America as part of W2 Pro GP. Most of those races are
30-minute sprints, but there are longer events on the schedule as well.
Gou Racing officially debuted the Cupra in Pilot Challenge at Daytona in January. As compared to their previous Audi, their performance improved over 2024.
Later in the year, Victor Gonzalez
Racing Team (VGRT) switched to the Cupra from the Hyundai Elantra N TCR. Despite some early teething issues, the move was a very successful one. The pairing of Tyler Gonzalez and Eric Powell won the final two races of the year.
Drivers for the team will be announced at a later date.
