- Friday and Saturday saw the ARCA Menards Series hold their annual test session at Daytona International Speedway. 82 drivers were on hand to turn in laps over two days.
The fastest lap of the test was set Friday by Nitro Motorsports' Gus Dean at 184.638 mph. Gavin Boschele
was second, then Jake Finch, Thomas Annunziata and Isabella Robusto. Most of these times came from one particular drafting session.
For the most part, the testing was clean. However, Amber Balcaen crashed her No. 24 Ford after a left rear tire failed Friday. Balcaen was uninjured in the crash and was able to return to the track in a backup car. The car was only cosmetically
damaged.
- In Mexico City Saturday, Citroen Racing's Nick Cassidy charged from 13th on the grid to take the lead late and held off the pack to win the Mexico City e-Prix. It is his 12th career Formula E victory and the first-ever win for Citroen Racing.
Cassidy won by
.651 seconds over Edoardo Mortara, who was unable to take advantage of an attack mode available in the closing laps over Cassidy. Oliver Rowland was third, then Taylor Barnard and Jake Dennis.
- JDC-Miller MotorSports revealed their Rolex 24 at Daytona driver lineup Thursday. The returning Tijmen van der Helm will be joined by Nico Pino, who drove for the team in last
year's Rolex 24. With Proton Competition not returning to the Hypercar classPino will be in the No. 85 Porsche 963 full-time.
Pino and van der Helm will be joined by Kaylen Frederick, who will be making his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut. Frederick, who will run the Michelin Endurance Cup races this year in the No. 85 Porsche, comes to the team after racing the last
two years in Super Formula Lights in Japan. He has finished fifth in points the last two years and has two career victories.
- Meyer Shank Racing with Curb-Agajanian announced Monday morning that a combination of OnlyBulls and BitcoinMAX will serve as the primary sponsors of the No. 60 Acura ARX-06 in this year's IMSA
WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The car will make its public debut this weekend in the ROAR Before the 24.
- SportsCar365.com reported Wednesday that NTT IndyCar Series veteran Scott McLaughlin will join DXDT Racing for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. He'll race along Mason Filippi, Charlie Eastwood and Salih Yoluc. Filippi will race the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R full-time in the series for the first time.
- Era Motorsport announced Wednesday that Jacob Abel will join the team for
the five Michelin Endurance Cup events in 2026. He will join Naveen Rao and Ferdinand Habsburg for those five races, while Logan Sargeant will race only at Daytona.
- Turner Motorsport revealed their IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge driver lineups for 2026 Thursday. Luca Mars, who won the Grand Sport championship last year with Rennsport One, will drive the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 alongside the returning Dillon Machavern. Mars will replace Francis Selldorff, who will make
his WeatherTech debut in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The second car (No. 96) will remain unchanged. Robby Foley will continue as the Pro driver in the car alongside Vin Barletta.
