Around the World in Motorsports: Sept. 17 |
- NASCAR announced Wednesday that Austin Maloney and Joel Bouagnon, the front tire changer and jackman, respectively on Denny Hamlin's crew, have received two-race suspensions. This is as a result of Hamlin's right front wheel coming off during Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops Night Race and causing a crash. Joe Gibbs Racing will take advantage of a new rule introduced for this season that allows
non-behavioral penalties to be deferred a week without an appeal. As a result, both crewmembers will be over-the-wall Sunday in Loudon. However, they will sit out Kansas and Charlotte.

Frontstretch Line of the Week "Even when times are tough,
even when it’s disappointing when you leave the track, you’ve got to figure out how to make it better. My dad said we got to figure out how to be faster. So, that’s what it is. It’s just making sure that you just keep going no matter what. A never-give-up attitude." - Debbie Henderson-Creasy, on her father Charlie's mentality. |
