Bowman was third, then Kyle Larson and Ty Gibbs. Among active drivers, Jimmie Johnson has the most Dover victories with 11. Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have three Dover victories each. What?! Pre-Race Schedule: Practice: Friday, May 15, 3 - 4:20 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2 Qualifying: Saturday, May 16, Noon ET on FOX Sports 1 Say What?! "When I was growing up, the All-Star
race was always a fun two weeks at Charlotte. You go from the All-Star race, to the [Coca-Cola] 600. Watching dad go through it was always unique, understanding it's a 'no holds barred' type of race. I was fortunate enough to win it a few years ago, and I think it's unique that they've switched it around. Everyone knows what you're going for, and no one's worried about points. You make a weekend out of it, especially when you get to go to new places. Moving that race to a different racetrack
like Dover is fun. Throw everything out the window, old money racing." - Ryan Blaney "It’s certainly going to be interesting. Dover has been a pretty good place for us here at RCR and for me. We finished fourth a couple years ago, 11th last year. We’ve been able to get some good top-five, top 10 finishes and are right
there on the brink of doing well each time. We qualified on the pole there a couple times as well, so I’m looking forward to getting back to Dover. It’s always a great place to race and I’ve enjoyed that track for a long time. I’ve won there before in the Truck Series, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and in the Cup Series as well. I’ve got my own little family of monster trophies at home and at the shop." - Kyle Busch "I enjoy racing at Dover, that’s why I’m in all three series. It’s a little bit different that we’re going there for the All-Star race, but the goal remains the same, to win. It doesn’t matter if it’s a points race or not, we still want to win. I’m fortunate that we’re locked in based on wins and I’m not on edge trying to make the race, but we still value winning the All-Star Race. I think some
teams may make different strategy calls based on taking more risks than maybe they typically would in a points race, but regardless, we’re all competitors and we’re all here to win." - Ross Chastain Phil Allaway is the Frontstretch newsletter manager. He can be reached
