- World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series teams were at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, S.D. Monday night for the rescheduled second night of the Stars and Stripes Salute. Here, things didn't start out all that great for Buddy Kofoid, but he came to life when it counted.
He was 23rd fastest in time trials, then
rose from sixth in his heat to make the Dash. Starting seventh in the feature, he quickly drove to the front.
On lap 13, Kofoid was able to drive past Night No. 1 (at Knoxville Raceway) winner Aaron Reutzel to take the lead. From there, he was able to drive away to take the win.
Kofoid won by
3.766 seconds over Sheldon Haudenschild. Reutzel finished third, then David Gravel and Donny Schatz.
In the points, Gravel continues to lead by 118 points over both Kofoid and Carson Macedo. Haudenschild jumped over Schatz to take fourth.
