- Interstate Batteries High Limit Sprint Car Series teams were in action Wednesday night at Wisconsin’s Red Cedar Speedway. What followed was a stomping rarely seen in the series.
Kyle Larson took the lead at the start and proceeded to run off and hide. At
one point, he had a legitimate 10-second lead (at a track where laps during the race were around 14 seconds) and lapped up to eighth.
A late caution set up a six-lap sprint to the finish. No one could prevent Larson from taking his fourth win of the year.
Larson won by 3.411 seconds over Brent Marks. Tyler Courtney was third, then Justin Peck and Tanner Thorson.
Rico Abreu finished seventh and takes the points lead by just one point over Aaron Reutzel, who cut a tire early and recovered to a lap down in 11th. Giovanni Scelzi is third, then Thorson and
Courtney.
