- The Super DIRTcar Series was in West Lebanon, N.Y. Tuesday night for the 47th running of Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Here, Alex Yankowski drew the pole and led the first 29 laps before Marc Johnson, a Lebanon Valley regular who was coming off of a win Saturday night, took the lead away exiting turn 2. Stewart Friesen was just behind the lead duo and pounced to take second away a lap
later.
After a caution, Friesen was able to snatch the lead away from Johnson on lap 49. From there, Friesen was able to pull away from the pack to win Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. for the second time.
Friesen won by 3.76 seconds over Yankowski. Mike Mahaney was third, then Matt Sheppard and Alex
Payne.
Mat Williamson had a miserable night, taking a provisional just to make the 75-lap feature. Attrition helped him drive up to an 11th-place finish. The finish resulted in him losing the points lead to Yankowski by 13 points. Mahaney is third, then Jack Lehner and Sheppard.
