- FOX Sports announced Tuesday
morning that Kurt Busch has been tapped to serve as a booth analyst for the eight remaining Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series events in 2020. Busch will fill the rotating second analyst spot that has been held by Jamie McMurray, Phil Parsons, Todd Bodine and Regan Smith.
Busch served as a guest analyst on a couple of Xfinity Series races earlier this season on FOX Sports 1, most notably when he shared the booth with his brother Kyle for the Cheddar's 300 at Bristol back in May. In the brief amount of the time that Kurt has been in the booth, he's shown that he has some talent. With a chance for more reps on television, Kurt will have the chance to get into more of a steady groove over the
next couple of months.
Busch's debut as a regular booth analyst will be on the broadcast for Thursday night's ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway. The race broadcast is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET, with NASCAR RaceDay - NGROTS Edition preceding it at 7 p.m.
- SportsCar365.com is reporting that DragonSpeed has signed Juan Pablo Montoya to
drive their No. 21 ORECA 07-Gibson in the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans, replacing Pipo Derani in the car. The team has not officially announced this move as of yet, but this is a likely attempt by Montoya to snag the Triple Crown of Motorsport (Grand Prix of Monaco, Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500).
