- Porsche announced just after Midnight Central European
Time (Monday night in the United States) that they will not be sending any of their factory drivers to this weekend's ADAC 24 Hours Nurburgring. Three people associated with Porsche's factory effort at Le Mans last weekend have tested positive for COVID-19. The driver withdrawals have forced the factory supported No. 911 Porsche 911 GT3 R for Manthey Racing, known as "Grello" due to the car's paint scheme, to withdraw from the race. For now, this ruling doesn't affect
Laurens Vanthoor and Frederic Makowiecki, who were part of the effort and are scheduled to race this weekend at Mid-Ohio. However, that can change. We'll keep you posted if the CORE autosport-run North American division of Porsche GT Team is forced to make any changes to their driver lineup.
|
- Preparations continue for the action scheduled for this weekend in Las Vegas. For Truck teams, they'll likely be loading up tonight to start the cross-country haul to Nevada. We'll have anything that breaks for you today
at Frontstretch.
