Around the World in Motorsports: April 6-7

- United Autosports announced Tuesday that Alex Lynn will join the team for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in August. Lynn, who is full-time in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, will share the No. 23 ORECA 07-Gibson with Paul Di Resta and an unknown third driver.

- Proton Competition unveiled their two-car driver lineup for the European Le Mans Series season Tuesday. Porsche factory racer Gianmaria Bruni will lead the No. 77 team alongside Jaxon Evans and team owner Christian Ried. The No. 93 Porsche will have factory racer Richard Lietz, Felipe Laser and Michael Fassbender.

- Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced in this week's episode of The Dale Jr. Download that his TV show, Lost Speedways, has been renewed by Peacock for a second season. The new episodes will premiere this summer.

What to Watch: Wednesday

- Today, the NextGen test at Darlington Raceway is wrapping up. Tyler Reddick believes that Darlington will still be just as tricky with the NextGen car as with the current one.

Joey Logano Looks to Capture Martinsville Grandfather Clock from Pole

For Saturday night's Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500, Joey Logano will take the momentum from his victory at Bristol into Martinsville, where he will start on the pole. Denny Hamlin starts second, then William Byron, Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott.

Joey Gase Honoring Davey Allison, Driving No. 28 at Talladega

Rick Ware Racing announced Tuesday that the team will re-number one of their entries for the GEICO 500 to No. 28. Joey Gase will drive a throwback scheme based on the 1991-1993 Texaco Havoline Ford in order to publicize organ donation and the fact that the late Davey Allison was an organ donor.

Harrison Burton Hopes to ‘Cook Out’ the Competition from Pole at Martinsville

Harrison Burton won last October's Draft Top 250 at Martinsville. Friday night, he'll start the Cook Out 250 from the pole. Justin Allgaier starts second, then AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Justin Haley.
