- The European Le Mans Series is holding the Prologue test ahead of this weekend's season opener at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona. Teams went on-track for thiree sessions on Monday.
United Autosports' Job van Uitert was fastest overall in the Morning Session with a lap at 110.282 mph. This was a full second faster than IDEC Sport's Patrick Pilet, while Tom Gamble was third in the second United Autosports entry. Racing Team Turkey's Harry Tincknell was fourth and Team WRT's
Louis Deletraz was fifth.
The Afternoon Session saw G-Drive Racing's Pietro Fittipaldi go fastest in his rebadged ORECA 07-Gibson (known as an Aurus 01) with a lap at 110.440 mph. He was one-eighth of a second faster than DragonSpeed's Ricky Taylor. COOL Racing's Nicolas Lapierre was third, followed by Tincknell and
IDEC Sport's Paul-Loup Chatin.
Finally, there was a night session. Only 16 of the 42 teams present set times during the session. Of those 16, Deletraz set the fastest lap of the day with a lap at 112.243 mph, more than a second and a half faster than Duqueine Team's Tristan Gommendy. G-Drive Racing's Roman Rusinov was
third fastest, then Panis Racing's James Allen and Ultimate's Matthieu Lahaye.
