- In the final day of the WEC Prologue at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the LMP2 teams were once again quickest. G-Drive Racing's Nick de Vries was fastest overall with a lap at 126.177 mph in the morning session. This lap was one-tenth of a second faster than United Autosports' Filipe Albuquerque. Jota Sport's Anthony Davidson was third, then Toyota GAZOO Racing's Jose Maria
Lopez in the fastest of the Hypercars. Racing Team Nederland's Job van Uitert was fifth.
Unfortunately for Racing Team Nederland, their test came to an end after van Uitert crashed at the ultra-fast Blanchimont corner with the GTE-Am class Ferrari of Iron Lynx's Katherine Legge. Endurance-Info.com captured these pictures of the cars post-recovery. It's not looking good for either of them. This weekend's race is already down one entry after Team Project 1's No. 46 Porsche was withdrawn due to damage on Monday.
- In the afternoon session, Toyota's Sebastien Buemi was fastest with a lap at 125.670 mph. This lap was two-tenths of a second faster than Albuquerque, then Signatech Alpine's Matthieu Vaxiviere. The No. 7 Toyota of Kamui Kobayashi was fourth, while PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports' Gabriel Aubry was fifth.
Porsche Team's Kevin Estre was fastest in GTE-Pro Tuesday with a lap at 117.873 mph. This was more than a second faster than teammate Richard Lietz. The remaining Team Project 1 Porsche driven by Matteo Cairoli was fastest in GTE-Am with a lap at 116.281 mph.
If the times shown during the Prologue are truly representative of the pace of the Hypercars, then this weekend's race is likely to be a complete toss-up. The three Hypercars entered are effectively at the same pace as the top LMP2 teams. They can still win, thanks to the all-pro driver lineups, but the LMP2 teams can pounce if the Hypercars have any teething issues.
